This is the site where the Greater Portland's Council of Governments Envisions Building 200 modest homes to temporarily house asylum seeking families. These 20 acres in Portland's Riverton neighborhood could become safe in maine transitional housing for 12 to 15 months. Former Portland's city Councilor Belinda Ray is leading the project. It'll be *** safe space where they can regroup while they seek and obtain permanent housing. *** community with recreational fields, playgrounds, walking trails and gardens.
